Chris has a broad range of experience across the electricity supply sector and brings a thorough knowledge of distribution systems and generation plant. Chris has undertaken a variety of electrical engineering and asset management functions including project development, project management, design, construction, procurement and maintenance. Chris is experienced with a variety of electricity supply assets including generation at both low and high voltage, distribution systems (6.6kV-33kV) and sub transmission (66kV). Chris is specialised in asset management and project investment analysis and uses these skills to deliver maximum value to his clients over the life cycle of their assets. Chris is experienced in developing asset policies and strategies and combined with a risk management approach is able to set future direction for clients to ensure targeted and prudent investment plans are established. Chris has also been responsible for creating significant value in the reduction of operating costs for major utilities in Australia that build, own and operate assets for remote power generation. For the last 13 years Chris has been focused on managing remote and isolated off-grid systems in various roles ranging from design engineer through to managing a multi-disciplined engineering team. Chris’s focus has been on generation assets and in particular renewable energy including solar PV, wind, geothermal and bio fuels as well as integration technologies such as batteries and flywheels. Chris also has extensive knowledge of the challenges associated with operating assets safely and cost effectively in challenging environmental conditions in remote locations and has used this to play a pivotal role in delivering a large number of projects across various locations.
