Geoff commenced his professional career as an engineer at the CRA Bougainville Copper Mine in PNG in 1974, where he worked in various positions including Electronics and Communications Superintendent over a period of 11years. Geoff career progression took him to Wallerawang 1.4GW thermal coal Power Station in NSW commencing as a Production Manager and then transitioned across to Engineering Manager over a period of 9years. This Power Station experience lead Geoff overseas and worked with well known companies such as Sithe Energies in the USA and then Peak Pacific Investment (Alliant Energy) in China and then returning to Australia as the Executive General Manager for Transfield Services before it was then acquired by Ratch Corporation. Geoff is a seasoned and experienced executive, professional engineer and manager with in excess of 40 years in the power generation industry spanning across numerous countries such as Australia, USA, Asia and the Pacific/PNG. During his career, Geoff has worked in the areas of power station development, design and construction, commissioning, and operations, corporate governance and management, major project planning, design and delivery, risk management evaluation and planning, mechanical and electrical works.
