· Concept Design and Project Feasibility Studies

The team at AZCIG understands the critical importance of value-for-money in developing new projects. We have previously assisted Clients both within Australia and in the Asia-Pacific region with the development of cost-effective concept designs and feasibility assessments that are compliant with the requirements of Network Service Providers and Industry Regulators (including both technical and commercial studies). AZCIG has consulted to a broad range of Clients including Federal, State and Local Governments and private sector Clients on projects such as Australia Defence, institutional prisons, water treatment plants, educational facilities (schools and universities), health care facilities, power utility networks, generators (wind, solar and battery farms) and surface/underground soft and hard rock mining sectors.

· Customer Advocacy - Network Service Providers and Australian Energy Regulator

It can be daunting for Owner operators and/or developers of new infrastructure and generation plant to navigate the complex requirements of the Australian Energy Regulator and to negotiate Connection Agreements with Network Service Providers (Distributors and Transmission companies). Our team has numerous years’ of experience working in the electricity Generation, Distribution and Transmission electrical utilities and mining industries and can provide the necessary support and technical know-how to streamline this process, having completed similar projects for Clients in the energy power generation and mining resources sectors.

· Grid Connection Technical Studies and Generator Performance Standards

AZCIG’s team of specialist engineers have substantial experience in network and generator modelling using globally recognised and reputable software packages such as PSS®E and PSCAD™. These modelling studies include both steady state and transient dynamic to simulate the impact of Network disturbances (voltage or frequency), motor starting or tripping events including tripping of generator(s) etc. Network Service Providers stipulate power quality compliance for all types of Customer connections (generation or loads), as it can impact neighbouring Customers, and our specialist engineers have performed analysis for harmonic emission, voltage flicker and voltage unbalance associated with connections. Generator Performance. Generator Performance Standards modelling can be undertaken to conform with the regulatory requirements of the AER. Protection systems analysis. Previous Clients have included transmission and distribution companies, refineries, surface and underground mining and other industrial processing operations.

· NEM Generator Registration Support

AZCIG assist Clients with preparing technical connection and compliance studies and various associated reports, which are specific for the connection including the coordination of the Connection Application and notification processes with NSPs and AEMO for the Registration of grid connected generation plant.
