· Concept Planning and Feasibility Studies
AZCIG is experienced in the implementation of renewable energy systems and microgrids including large-scale Solar PV and wind generation with integrated Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS), small-scale embedded generation systems and remote standalone power supply generation and isolated network systems. AZCIG can prepare concept designs and budgets, and undertake technical and commercial feasibility studies for its Clients.
· Grid Connection for Embedded Generation
AZCIG assists developers of embedded generation projects to meet all the technical compliances with the National Electricity Rules and AEMO extensive regulatory technical requirements. AZCIG will undertake technical design reviews of generating system and reactive plant including the associated protection and metering systems, prepare modelling and simulation of generating facility using PSS®E and PSCADTM to ensure full technical compliance with regulated Generator Performance Standards. AZCIG can also review Acceptance Testing requirements (i.e. inspection test plans, works procedures, recording results etc.) and have been involved in the testing and commissioning of non-regulated embedded renewable energy projects. Thorough review of the testing and commissioning plans and results to validate compliance, is paramount, to ensure a successful transition documentation into the asset management plans and the on-going compliance. AZCIG can assist with negotiations with NSPs, Energy Retailers and Network Regulatory bodies to scope connection requirements and to assist with negotiation of Connection Agreements, Asset Infrastructure Ownership, Network Operational Generating System Communication procedure(s) and Power Purchase Agreement(s).
· Off-grid, Microgrid and Remote Power Station Planning and Assessment
AZCIG’s team have worked on numerous projects to integrate renewable energy components to replace or supplement traditional generation technologies in isolated and remote communities within mainland Australia and Torres Strait region, the Federated States of Micronesia and the Republic of the Marshall Islands. AZCIG has assisted with developing pricing mechanisms for on-selling arrangements, and to ensure compliance with regulatory pricing requirements for the relevant regional jurisdiction.
· Energy Policy and Program Development and Implementation
AZCIG can assist with preparing energy conservation plans, opportunity evaluation for energy efficiency, demand management programs and energy risk management.
