AZCIG is experienced in the implementation of renewable energy systems and microgrids including large-scale Solar PV and wind generation with integrated Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS), small-scale embedded generation systems and remote standalone power supply generation and isolated network systems. AZCIG can prepare concept designs and budgets, and undertake technical and commercial feasibility studies for its Clients.
Electricity Network Connections
The team at AZCIG understands the critical importance of value-for-money in developing new projects. We have previously assisted Clients both within Australia and in the Asia-Pacific region with the development of cost-effective concept designs and feasibility assessments that are compliant with the requirements of Network Service Providers and Industry Regulators (including both technical and commercial studies). AZCIG has consulted to a broad range of Clients including Federal, State and Local Governments and private sector Clients on projects such as Australia Defence, institutional prisons, water treatment plants, educational facilities (schools and universities), health care facilities, power utility networks, generators (wind, solar and battery farms) and surface/underground soft and hard rock mining sectors.
Regulatory & Economic Analysis
AZCIG can assist with development of Business Cases for the connection of any size/ type of load or for new generation plant, including renewable energy systems, fringe-of-grid micro-generation systems, etc to the regulated electricity network. This includes development and analysis of technical options, commercial assessments for whole-of-life operation of the plant/equipment, development of asset maintenance and management plans using PAS 55 framework. AZCIG’s team develop solutions that meet the requirements of the National Electricity Law and Australian Energy Market Operator (AEMO).
Power System Design Services
AZCIG provides planning, engineering, and design of the core electrical infrastructure that generates, transmits, and distributes electrical power. Which includes preliminary, concept and detailed design services for distribution, transmission and generation systems (including traditional and renewable energy systems) for Network Service Providers (NSP’s) and private sector Clients. AZCIG undertakes design reviews and engineering certification-approval of third-party designs, including also technical design input and reviews for the development of project specifications and drawings for tendering purposes.
Project Management
AZCIG provides “Owner’s Engineer” services for projects including private and embedded networks, power station and transmission and distribution system redevelopment project (brownfield sites), and greenfield site projects. Also, we can provide independent project facilitation services to assist in progressing negotiations with NSP’s or to facilitate contractual and with Principal Contractor and subcontractors to meet project delivery timeframes. AZCIG partners with a network of affiliates for the delivery of turnkey renewable energy systems and microgrids and other energy-related projects. AZCIG offers expert services in overseeing and managing Engineering, Procurement, and Construction (EPC) projects to ensure that projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the required quality and safety standards.
